i have numerous foscam IP cameras ( Fi8918W) that permits me to see my household from anywhere in the planet that has an Online connection,we had some issues with washed out and discolored images on the FI8918W , it wasn't so terrible , but this new FI8910W has the IR cut filter and fixes the complications related to washed out and discolored pictures , it is $ten.00 more , but if I'm paying 89.99 (which is a fairly low cost for such a device in the very first spot) this $10.00 wont make a massive difference . I had the unique opportunity to see this camera in action prior to I bought it and was impressed with the specs and ease of use. It really is daylight image is fine for my requires as I only use it to cover the very first floor entrance way. It really is night vision is fine for a good 20 feet, maybe a tiny even more of total darkness and 50+ in low light. The wireless setup was a breeze and the net control performs awesome. The only reason I give this four stars is it really is lack of Zoom. This is a PT Camera ONLY. There is no zoom and that would have made this a ideal camera for the value. The camera has an outdoor setting that drastically improves the picture superior when viewing the outdoors. However this is an indoor camera but viewing by way of a window pane made no noticeable glare.
Even so, viewing by means of the window screen blacked out the picture absolutely. Night viewing through a window pane was useless as the IR LED's made a blinding glare. If your going to use this camera outdoor, I recommend taking the environment into account and glare by means of glass enclosures.
