I purchased this cable with the intention of cutting it up and developing a few smaller patch cables. This cable is incredibly low-cost and no exactly where on the actual cable is it marked as "cat5e" or even "cat5". It contains eight single pretty thin wires that are not twisted pairs and not copper. I am pretty sure to call a cable cat5e it ought to be copper and twisted pair. I do not advise this low-priced cable.

would not at all advise this cord. It is very thin and did not transfer data at all. bought it to challenging wire my Xbox360, did not work at all, even attempted it with my laptop pulled no connection at all. Would have returned it if shipping wasn't significantly more then I paid for the cord(will need to of identified then not to acquire)
